After several solo band projects, Griffin Holtby decided he wanted to “put together a band so I can play with my friends, a party band this time!” Texas Turmoil was born. We’re a relatively new cover band playing rock and country covers, and entertaining everybody who wants to listen and vibe along.

Griffin’s bands have won a few competitions, including Wildflower Festival Battle of The Bands and The Earth Day Rising Stars Competition at Fair Park , sponsored by Texas Music project. Adopted from Russia, and raised in Dallas, Griffin loves the can do mentality of his fellow Texans. It took a trip to Dublin to realized how proud he is to be an American, and a TEXAN, and how much demand exists for American country music. He came home and began writing country rock songs.

Holtby’s vocals and warmth as a frontman are complimented by Alex on guitar and Simon Stake on bass, with Ty Lewis on drums and Ian Kramer, keyboard. We bring young energy to your venue/location. Our setlist is 75% country covers with some rock artists like Lenny Kravitz, Tom Petty, and John Mayer.
